Basket Promotions

Basket Promotions provide a mechanism of discounting the basket by a fixed amount or percentage.

Parameters

Discount Type Toggle between Percent Off/Dollars Off, affects the interpretation of the Discount Amount parameter.

Discount Amount The amount of discount of the total basket price.

Promotion Reference Required. Displayed as a reference for the promotion.

Coupon Number Optional. If populated, the shopper must enter as a coupon for the promotion to apply.

Start & End Date Optional. If populated, the defined timespan limits the promotion from the start date until the end date.

Experience Groups If populated, the shopper must be in the defined Experience Group(s) for the promotion to apply.

When the shopper is part of the selected Experience Group or has applied the coupon number, they qualify for the promotion, and it is applied during basket pricing.

Examples

People called "Norm" get $200 off! The following promotion has been configured to grant a $200 discount to anyone named Norm.

Firstly, configure an Experience Group.

Note that no start/end dates have been set, so this will run indefinitely.
